Trace-AI is two founders in Canada, augmented end-to-end by the internal AI systems we build for ourselves. The studio exists to prove a specific claim: that senior engineers with AI in the loop will outproduce traditional agencies — at a fraction of the price — on the kinds of complex commerce + integration builds the market has always overcharged for.
Enterprise software doesn't cost $1.5M because the work is worth $1.5M.
It costs that because traditional agencies are structurally expensive. The price tag pays for account managers, layered review, junior engineers fed senior-engineer problems, and the billable-hour theater that surrounds the actual work.
We're betting on a different shape: two senior engineers with AI tools wired into every step — codegen, review, testing, ops monitoring, codebase retrieval — operating the same engagements the top agencies bid on, at a fraction of the price.
Greenbrook is the proof. The market quoted their platform at $1.5M+. We shipped it. They're still our client.
Paris founded Trace-AI in 2023 after rebuilding GreenRx's commerce platform end-to-end. Self-taught in code, ML and neural networks since his teens, he runs the studio's technical direction — platform architecture, integrations, applied-AI systems, and the autonomous-ops layer the studio is now building.
Trin co-founded Trace-AI with Paris in 2023 and carries the operational half of a deliberately small studio — delivery, partnerships and day-to-day operations — while sharing the engineering load across platform and integration work.
Every line of production code is written or reviewed by a senior engineer. No junior-engineer practice on client codebases.
Codegen, review, test scaffolding, codebase retrieval, ops monitoring. Internal AI tools we wrote for ourselves are part of every project.
Paris is on every client call. No account managers. No layered relationships.
Phase 1 is priced before work starts. Scope creep is on us, not the client.
Most clients keep us as the long-term operations partner. No handoff to a maintenance team — same engineers, six months later.
NDAs by default. Client work shown publicly only with explicit permission.
PIPEDA, HIPAA, PCI. We work on regulated stacks — patient data, payment data, audit trails — without crossing boundaries.
